Emmy-Nominated Leader KD Hall Announces Debut Book, ‘Sacred Pause,’ with Free, Immersive Seattle Launch Event
SEATTLE – Nov. 6, 2025 – KD Hall, an Emmy-nominated show host, executive producer, and strategic crisis manager, announced the launch of her debut book, Sacred Pause: A Conversation with KD Hall. The book will be celebrated with its first official launch and sensory reading experience on Friday, Dec. 5, at Converge Media Studio. The event is sponsored by SABJ, Conversations with KD Hall, and Converge Media, which also serves as the production partner for the launch.
The event, limited to 50 guests, marks Hall’s debut as an author. Sacred Pause is a deeply reflective and practical book that follows a crisis executive having a candid conversation with herself during a personal midlife crisis that began after the loss of her mother on December 30, 2024. Drawing from her background in crisis strategy and emotional intelligence, Hall explores how the same methods used to guide organizations through uncertainty can help individuals regain balance and clarity in their own lives.
Sacred Pause is both a reflective narrative and a functional workbook. Each section includes guided questions designed to help readers explore their emotions, patterns, and responses to personal crises. The result is a hands-on companion that blends storytelling with strategy to help readers stabilize, reflect, and move forward with intention.
The Seattle launch will be an immersive three-act experience featuring live performances, spoken word, and sensory storytelling that bring the book’s central themes of emotional awareness, clarity, and self-restoration to life.
“Crisis doesn’t only happen in boardrooms,” said KD Hall. “It happens inside us too. Sacred Pause helps people pause long enough to understand what they are feeling and then create a plan to find their way back to center.”
Following the Seattle event, KD Hall will begin a 117-day book roadshow from December 5, 2025 through March 31, 2026, connecting directly with communities across Washington state. During the holiday season, the Sacred Pause Roadshow will focus on individuals and groups experiencing grief, recent loss, mental health challenges, divorce, or major transitions.
The first tour will travel across Washington, beginning in Seattle, with special stops at colleges, hospitals, corporations, and military bases. A military edition and a children’s edition of Sacred Pause will be introduced during this period. The roadshow will then expand nationally with a Women’s History Month launch in Detroit, followed by additional dates and cities to be announced.
Organizations are encouraged to reach out to schedule private book readings and reflective gatherings. While all events are free to attend, guests are encouraged to purchase a copy of the book to support continued community engagement and emotional wellness work. Tap in.
This event is sponsored by the Seattle Association of Black Journalists, Converge Media, and Conversations with KD Hall.
