The Challenge
The Washington State Women's Commission enlisted KD Hall Communications to produce a film on the Women's Suffrage movement as part of statewide celebrations in Washington State. The documentary was aimed at educating voters about the history of women's voting rights and promoting voter participation among women, particularly in an election year. Despite a tight timeline of six weeks for filming, production, and editing, the film was successfully presented to the State Commissioners.
Our Solution
KD Hall Communications started by conducting a discovery session to understand the Washington State Women's Commission's goals for their project. The team then created a storyboard to tell the untold stories of the Women's Suffrage movement and completed the commissioned assignment within the timeline, receiving raving reviews from the commissioners and executive director. As a result, the 2020 Public Relations Campaign, College and K-12 roadshow was launched to tell the story in scheduled events around the State, with the film Executive Produced by KD Hall Communications. The team managed the editor, writer, director of photography, and video team while executing the Washington State Women’s Commission's vision for this film.
