Community Business Connector
THE PROJECT
The Community Business Connector Program aims to serve small businesses across King County through a comprehensive outreach program that helps businesses tap available resources. The overall goal of the Connector program is to make our small business support ecosystem more supportive and inclusive by building relationships with businesses facing challenges due to linguistic, cultural, and geographic barriers, including economic impacts due to COVID-19.

The Challenge
CBC receives funding from a variety of sources, including the Port of Seattle, King County, Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, and city partners. The program aims to attract and engage small businesses across King County and recruit Connectors, contracted organizations or individuals who will serve as liaisons between small businesses and business assistance providers.
KD Hall Communications was tapped to develop a comprehensive branding as well as produce orientation and recruitment collateral.
Our Solution
KD Hall Communications was instrumental in promoting the CBC program to small businesses and potential Connectors. The agency utilized various marketing strategies, including publishing press releases, to generate interest and awareness about the program.
Moreover, the agency created a comprehensive branding strategy that included designing a distinctive logo, producing a branding document, and launching a user-friendly website that effectively communicated the program's resources and benefits. The website was also utilized as a platform to recruit or refer potential Connectors.
KD Hall Communications also developed recruitment and orientation materials that provided valuable insights into the program's value proposition. These materials effectively communicated the program's goals, benefits, and how to get involved as a Connector or a small business owner seeking support.
Overall, the agency's efforts have played a critical role in raising awareness about the CBC program and promoting its mission to support and empower small businesses.
